How do I vote?
First, check here to confirm that you’re registered to vote. You must have registered to vote on or before June 14th.
There are three ways to vote in the primary election this June:
- In person early, Sat, October 24 – Sun, November 1
- In person on Election Day, November 3
- Mailing a ballot no later than Tue, November 3
Voting early
In person
You may vote early between October 24 and November 1.
Your early voting polling place may be different from your Election Day polling place. Find your early voting polling place and hours here.
By mail
You may request a early mail-in or absentee ballot at the New York County Board of Elections Office, located at 200 Varick Street 10th Floor, through June 22. Any voter can request an early mail-in ballot for any reason.
You must postmark or drop off your ballot at the New York County Board of Elections Office no later than November 3. Remember to sign both your ballot and the back of the envelope, or your ballot will be invalidated.
Voting on Election Day
Voting on Election Day is as simple as showing up and filling out your ballot! Find your polling place.
Polls open at 6 am. and close at 9 pm. While we suggest getting to the polls as early as you can, remember that if you get in line before 9 pm, you have the right to cast your ballot!
